Top South Central Construction Projects

Bridges, private and public buildings top list

South Central Construction is pleased to present its annual ranking of Top Construction Projects, which ranks, by contract cost, projects that broke ground in 2007.

To accurately reflect the diversity of the five-state region’s construction market, lists are arranged by Top 5 rankings in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Sources used to create the list include McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge; state economic development agencies; a comprehensive database of contractors and designers; back issues of South Central Construction; and various other sources. Every effort was made to obtain acurate and complete information, and the project information was verified with project owners and general contractors.

The projects that follow began their construction phase, or broke ground, in 2007. Therefore, there may be some sizable active projects that are not included in the list.

Projects that begin construction this year are eligible to be considered for next year’s list, should they qualify.
