Golden & Associates Construction LLC

athletic facilities additions and renovation. The $4.2 million project
includes a new 14,400-sq.-ft. multipurpose building, a 12,800-sq.-ft. building

under the football stadium. The multipurpose building was completed in September
and the entire project is scheduled to be complete this week. Golden & Associates

and Marty Wagnon is the superintendent. Adams Design Associates is the architect
firm for the project. "This was a very challenging project for Golden

some unforeseen existing conditions during excavation," Ferry said. Multi-specialty

management plans The Alabama Association of Regional Councils, in
conjunction with the Alabama Department of Transportation, has awarded HNTB-Atlanta
the Alabama Scenic Byway Corridor Management Plan project. HNTB will be
responsible for the development of CMPs for two corridors - the Coastal Connection
Corridor along the Gulf Coast and Lookout Mountain Parkway in northeast Alabama.
HNTB's responsibilities during the 12-month study will include public involvement,
land use transportation linkages, traffic operations analyses and coordination
with key stakeholders. The CMPs included in this assignment will serve as
part of a pilot program in Alabama with the Coastal Connection Corridor and Lookout
Mountain Parkway being two of the first CMPs to be completed under the new Scenic
Byway Program Guidelines adopted in 2003. HNTB also served as the consultant on
the assignment. "The Coastal Connection and Lookout Mountain CMPs
will be used as examples for future projects," said HNTB project manager
Douglas Allen. "There are a number of scenic byway projects in the State
of Alabama. Success with this pilot program will demonstrate that these are viable
tools for protecting outstanding intrinsic natural and cultural resources." |
