Batson-Cook design-builds cardiovascular institute in Auburn

Batson-Cook is currently providing design-build services for The Institute for Advanced Cardiovascular Care in Auburn, Ala. The project is being constructed for Community Medical Development, also of Auburn.

This state-of-the-art $9.5 million facility will feature the latest technology in medical equipment, including CT and a heart catheterization laboratory, as well as digital information technology.

Situated on 5.9 acres of an 80-acre high-end mixed-use development, the three-story Institute for Advanced Cardiovascular Care will feature 58,000 sq ft of medical office space, including available tenant space for allied medical practices. Hecht, Burdeshaw Architects of Columbus, Ga., is providing design services for the Batson-Cook design-build team.

This inaugural facility will feature high-quality design elements such as arriscraft stone and window and curtainwall detailing that will establish the design vocabulary for the total development.

"This signature building will be a credit to the City of Auburn," says Jerry Clement, vice president of design-build for Batson-Cook. "It provides high-tech diagnostic medical care by the region's premier cardiologists with Interstate 85 convenience."
