Flintco Cos. celebrates 100 years of business
One of the largest American-Indian owned construction companies in the United States turned 100 years old in March. The Flintco Cos. Inc. of Springdale, Ark., celebrated a century of doing business with annual revenues this year exceeding $1 billion.
“This is an exciting era for The Flintco Cos. and the construction industry as a whole,” said Robin Flint Ballenger, chairman, The Flintco Companies Inc. “Our 100th anniversary is a time to reflect on our rich heritage, thank our loyal customers and employees and plan for another century of progress.”
Flintco Cos. was founded in 1908 when Tulsa Rig, Reel & Manufacturing began supplying oilfield equipment, lumber and rig timbers for oil derricks in Oklahoma. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Flintco Cos. has nine offices located coast-to-coast in the U.S. with 880 employees.
“We’ve come a long way since those oil boom days,” said CEO Tom Maxwell. “Our commitment to quality, safety and diversity is as steadfast now as it ever was.”
